How we make money

Short version: offers marked Ad (we earn a commission if you sign up) pay us a commission when you sign up through our link. It does not change the price you pay, and it does not change how we rank or describe offers.

How to tell which offers pay us

  • The Ad label. Wherever an offer we earn a commission on appears (cards, lists, comparisons, guides and the offer page itself), it is marked Ad (we earn a commission if you sign up) next to its name. In guides and comparisons, links to such offers in the text also carry an Ad marker.
  • No label means no commission. Some offers are plain links. If you sign up through one, we earn nothing, and the offer page says so.
  • Sponsored is different. A “Sponsored” label means the provider pays for the placement. An offer can carry both labels.

How we earn

  • Commission. For offers marked Ad, the provider, or an affiliate network it works with, pays us when someone signs up or buys after clicking our link.
  • Sponsored placements. We may offer providers paid featured listings, always labelled “Sponsored”.

What it costs you

Nothing extra. Using our links does not increase the price you pay. Some providers give the same discount whether or not you use a link, and we say so where we know.

What it does not affect

  • Order. Offers are ordered by when we last verified them, not by commission or sponsorship.
  • What we write. Payment does not buy a better description, a verdict or a place in a comparison. See our editorial policy.
  • Whether an offer is listed. We choose offers because they look useful to UK founders. A programme that pays is not a requirement, and not every listed offer pays us.

How our links work

Offer buttons go through a link on this site (/go/…) before sending you to the provider. That lets us fix a broken link in one place and count clicks per offer. The count is a total per offer; it does not identify you.

A note on advice

We share general information about offers. It is not financial, legal or tax advice. Offers change, so check the provider’s current terms before you commit.
